The fig tree is a tree and sometimes defined as a shrub. The fig tree grows up to 3 meters and is mainly distributed in the Middle East, throughout the North and South Mediterranean. It is said that the fig tree was first cultivated in Ancient Egypt. The fig tree is easy to grow and withstands heat quite well.

Eating this fruit helps to lose some weight because the fig does not contain fat
or cholesterol.
Boldly consume this incredible fruit, especially when it is in the midst of its season. It is good to keep in mind that the fresh figs quickly starts fermentation process and therefore you should consume them within 1-2 days. I personally store them in the fridge for this purpose, and I like them to be fresher.
