Black and white bonbons
15 mins
Easy
Ingredients
400g dates
200g coconut shavings
100g of cocoa (for throwing candy)
100-150 ml of water
1 tsp of chia
How to make:
1 Wash the dates well and soak them in warm water until they become soft.
2 Put the dates and the water into a blender, and blend them well. Pour the mixture into a bowl. Add the coconut shavings and the chia seeds. It is advisable to get more, because the amount is measured by eye. The mixture should be able to be shaped.
3 Shape the mixture into small balls.
4 Prepare two plates – one with shavings, the other with the cocoa;
5 Half of the shaped roll in the shavings plate, the other half in the cocoa plate.
6 They are ready to eat right away, but you should put them in the fridge for 2 hours to cool down and be fresher.
Good to know
- These candies /bonbons are a great choice for afternoon tea or coffee;
- Tip: Most coconut shavings have been processed and have not retained their nutrients, so my advice is to grab a coconut and do it yourself. There are places that sell coconut without the shell. The idea here is to be as real as possible;
- If you wish, you can use some kind of plant base milk (coconut, almond, etc.) instead of water.
- Be careful with the quantity because the ingredients are quite caloric.
