Brown rice with Brussels sprouts

1 cup of brown rice
200-300gr Brussels sprouts (I used frozen)
½ cup green peas
Half onion
Salt and black pepper to taste
Oil/ butter for cooking (by choice)
How to make
1 It is a good idea to soak up the rice offered for 8 hours in advance (or the night before). Boil it as directed on the label. I cooked my rice with 3 glasses of water for 20 minutes.
2 Then add the chopped onion, Brussels sprouts and peas to the rice, stirring the ingredients well. Allow to cook over low heat.
3 Add the butter, salt and black pepper and in about 20 minutes.
Good to know
- You can add more spices or frozen vegetables-mix, but personally I preferred to give you this recipe greener, cleaner, healthier and more saturated;
- Enjoy the aroma and unique taste that these ingredients provide with their combination.
